A healthy, balanced and nutritious diet always plays a major role in losing weight. You might be aware of this fact but are still confused about what to eat and in what proportions so that not only it should help in losing weight but also the body should get the balanced proportions of carbohydrates, fats, vitamins, proteins as well as minerals. Though exercising helps in losing weight but along with it, following a healthy diet regime will complement your efforts in losing weight.
When it comes to nutritional weight loss, one thing that comes to mind is the fresh fruits and vegetables. Unlike your junk food, that helps you gain kilos, these fresh fruits and vegetables increase the fibre content of your body and also leaves your skin looking fresh and also they are low in calories. And moreover they have in them some antioxidants as well as phytochemicals that boost your health. So in order to lose weight naturally you can always count on fresh fruits and vegetables.
Also your metabolism plays a significant role in losing weight, the faster metabolism, quicker absorption of food items. Instead of eating all your food at one go, you can divide the meals and start eating at every two or three hours. This will help in improving the metabolic rate and also there would be lesser chances of your extra food being stored as fat that make you obese. Don’t overcook vegetables as they will lose their nutritional value. Avoid excessive use of butter to cook your food because that will only worsen the thing. Drink plenty of water through out the day but avoid drinking it during the meals.
Even after following a balanced diet, if you are not chewing the food properly results would not be as you liked. This is because chewing helps to breakdown food particles and leads to their quicker absorption by the digestive system.
Avoid use of alcohol, caffeine, nicotine and other drugs. Opt for a healthier breakfast of whole cereals, porridge, fresh fruits, etc. rather than having burgers and other junk food items. Drink a glass of fresh fruit juice instead of that stored in a container for quite long. You can also take the help of your doctor who can carve out a diet plan for you as per your body requirements.
Adopting a healthy lifestyle is the best way to lose your body weight. So go and celebrate everyday of your life in a healthier way.

Becoming healthier is the best thing you can do for yourself. The best way to do this is through a weight loss plan that has proper nutrition. However, most people don’t eat what is considered a healthy and well-balanced diet. Instead, most people think they are eating healthy when they are really just falling victim to four common diet myths in our society. These myths have been spread by fad diets that focus on taking essential nutrients out of an individual’s diet. However, this isn’t the way to properly lose weight since you are taking away the nutrients that your body needs in order to function properly.
The first myth many fall victim to is the thought that certain food groups need to eliminated. Many of the fad diets on the market today focus on eliminating certain food groups or focus on eating from just one or two food groups. In order to stay healthy you need to have a balanced diet that gives your body all of the diverse nutrients it needs. In order to be healthy your body needs water, vitamins, a little bit of protein, a little bit of fat, minerals, energy in the form of carbohydrates, fiber and oxygen. In order to build your immune system you need to eat a diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts and seeds. Doing this is the best way to stay healthy and see success with your weight loss plan.
The second myth is that you have to eat meat in order to get enough protein in your diet. Each day your body needs about thirty grams of protein. If you eat meat and dairy products you are also getting a lot of sodium and fat. If you eat fruits and vegetables you are actually getting about one gram of protein. You can even find complete proteins in grains, nuts, oils and legumes. On the other hand, the proteins found in meat are actually incomplete proteins.
The third myth is that you need to remove all fat from your diet. This isn’t true. In order for your diet to be healthy and balanced you need about fifty grams of fat each day. Eliminating fat completely from your diet can cause further health issues. Fat is necessary in order to help your joints and muscles work properly. You can find a rich source of healthy fats in raw nuts, olive oil and avocados. Take a close look at the foods you buy and make sure you avoid the bad hydrogenated fats.
Lastly the fourth myth is that you need to starve yourself if you want to lose weight. A woman should never eat less than 1200 calories per day and a man should never eat less than 1800 calories per day. You don’t have to go hungry; you just need to feed your body natural foods. Eating all the fresh fruits and vegetables you want won’t have any adverse effect on your weight. Instead it will help benefit your body and your immune system by providing you with a well-balanced and healthy weight loss plan.
